Feeling gloomy this morning. That budget – oh dear…
The last time interest rates were closest to where they are now and incidentally that was before living memory, two years later the interest rate was 25%. 
The last time they were at 5% (not to long ago), two years later they were at 15%…
The general election is next year. Things; the true repercussions of the downturn and the associated costs will be kept quiet by politicians (if that’s at all possible) but following that election an awful lot of people are going to have to contend with high interest rates coupled with high inflation coupled with poor employment prospects. Time to think of a robust business, job or opportunity to plan the future. Or maybe you stick where you are?
